I was born in Oneonta, NY...as a child I invented fanciful tales, went on imaginary quests throuth the woods behind my house, read thousands of books, and languished in misunderstood obscurity for 18 years in rural upstate NY. I had a few friends growing up, but was generally considered a bit of a freak. It wasn't until I was in high school that I met a friend who appreciated me for the whimsical free-spirit I was (and endeavor to still be).
I went down to Virginia Beach for college, and was most definately not appreciated (other than as an artist) there. I guess that would have to be the one true quest of my life...to be accepted for who and what I am, without conditions.
After college I worked as a bartender for a bit...but, have since worked in human services. I've worked with folks with developmental delays and severe mental illness for almost 20 years now.
I've been married twice, and am much happier the second time around. My husband is a man of like spirit, a dreamer who loves dragons and has more creative projects than he'll ever finish in his lifetime.
